Gaëlle, aged 27
Customer Recruitment Manager, Europe

« Finding the right balance between creativity and pragmatism »

What does your job within the Group entail?

I am in charge of the new customer recruitment team for Daniel Jouvance in Europe. As such, I manage the Promotion Manager team in France and abroad.

We ensure that the brand is appropriately expressed: passing on its values through direct marketing messages while generating new sales ideas for each recruitment campaign.

How do you organise your days?

My days are anything but routine! I have to deal with emergencies arising in our recruitment campaign launches, while at the same time coordinating all the teams: management control, project steering, statistics, production. My objective: to recruit our new customers ever more effectively at the lowest possible cost.

On a day-to-day basis, the team is responsible for designing the sales offers, then the agency briefings, the study and production of messages, management of photos and mock-ups. This means working closely with advertising agencies, photographers, copywriters, etc.
I feel I am permanently learning and developing. Challenging the status quo to target excellence.
The thing I love about my job is that it is very broadly based. It involves finding the right balance between creativity, rigour and pragmatism. That diversity makes it interesting every day.

What is your training and what positions have you had in the Group since you joined?

When I graduated from a college of business and economics, I joined the Yves Rocher Group as a Promotions Manager for the Daniel Jouvance brand. I then rapidly moved on to a high-level job as Customer Recruitment Manager for Europe.
I believe that what makes the Yves Rocher Group stand out is its willingness to offer a high degree of responsibility very early on. This also means that, from our very first day with the Group, we have to be capable of working independently.

It is a Group where everyone – from the youngest to the most experienced – makes a contribution to the whole. Finally, the Yves Rocher Group has found a balance between the flexibility of small teams within independent brands and the support and opportunities provided by a major international group. There is therefore great potential ahead!
